What's It Like Having The Same Name As a Major Storm?
8/29/2019 (Permalink)
We sat down today with a good friend named Dorian…….the name of the most recent hurricane predicted to hit Puerto Rico, Florida, and other southern states sometime today, Thursday, August 29, 2019. Here’s what Dorian had to say: “Well, I’m actually rather sad having the same name as a hurricane, because I already feel for all the people who will be affected by this storm. Ironically, the name Dorian means gift, and child of the sea. It doesn’t seem like too much of a gift today for all the people living in the eye of the storm. My mother grew up on the ocean and is a gifted violinist. She named me Dorian because of her love for the sea and after Dorian Rudnytsky, a famous cellist. My hope is that the storm somehow misses landfall and that hurricane Dorian is quickly forgotten!”
At SERVPRO, we too hope the predicted hurricane does not come to fruition. However, if this hurricane or any future storm system creates storm damage for your home or business, call SERVPRO immediately. We’re there to help in all sorts of situations.
